“ We had a great experience here, having dinner at the bar. Hot rolls with butter, attentive refills of water, and a super knowledgeable server. I enjoyed oysters to start. That fresh horseradish packs a punch! I asked for the smaller, less briny ones. My boyfriend and his friend ordered the calamari Rhode Island style. I tried one and it was awesome, tasty with a pepper to go with it. For an entree I had salmon with a side of mashed potatoes and coleslaw. I had my meal with an Albariño white wine, which was excellent. The showstoppers were the lobster dishes though. Such great presentation on our friend's lobster Mac n cheese, which he loved. When my boyfriend's lobster roll I couldn't help but blurt out how huge it was, in amazement. They certainly got a lot of lobster meat. I will have to get a lobster dish next time. When in Rome... (meaning a fancy classic Boston seafood restaurant)... ”
“ Sat at the bar and enjoyed a great meal while watching football! I had stuffed shrimp with crab meat, roasted potatoes, broccoli, bread, clam chowder, and a lemon guava martini. All were all on point! Loved the ambiance of the restaurant and I definitely recommend a visit. ”
“ 5 stars all the way! Hands down the BEST food we had in Boston! Stellar service as well. We arrived for lunch and met family. This location is the family's favorite spot for seafood. The restaurant is clean and ambiance is classy. We were greeted when we arrived and seated promptly. Server was on his game, taking our orders and getting food out quick also. We got a sampling of a few entrees to share. We got the clam chowder, crab cakes and stuffed baked lobster tails along with a mule. The food was absolutely delicious. It was fresh! The crab cakes was majorly crab meat and not the typical bread filling. The lobster was tender and juicy. The chowder had the right consistency and just so good. My mouth is watering writing this review! Don't forget the taffy mint before you leave. You won't want to miss this as this is like the finishing touch to a great meal! “ Stopped by for lunch today after a long hiatus and so happy we did. Our hostess is a gem and always most welcoming. Kim, our server was great and quick to share some of her favorites. So glad I ordered the Scallops and Street Corn...such a nice change. Hubby is always happy they have combination dishes and thoroughly enjoyed Shrimp and Scallops. Why have only one or the other, right? We took home the Lobster Mac and Cheese.....WOW!! Thanks so much!! ”
“ My wife and I decided to go to the clambox today. We got combination plate of fried clams and scallops, onion rings, french fries and a root beer. It was all excellent. What can I say plenty of parking we decided to eat in the car where is 90° outside ”
“ Was in Peabody and excited to find a Legal Seafoods restaurant within minutes! It took us a long few minutes to select something quick to have with the best clam chowder anywhere! The fish tacos and crab roll were perfect! The hot rolls were awesome with the clam chowder. The service was fast and attentive, once they quickly found us a good table as walk ins to the busy place. It was crowded but quiet and private. There's a lot of parking at this huge mall, with the restaurant fronting the parking lot. ”
“ We stopped in on our trip to Boston...I had been here around 20 yrs afo. Nothing has changed...service and food quality were great. We both had clam chowder and a caesar salad and split some calamari prepared new hampshire style with hot peppers and garlic. Everything was great...fresh clams in abundance made the chowder a real treat. ”
“ Simply Grilled Sea Scallops** Szechuan Green Beans We visited this location after a long day walking around Salem. We had a reservation so we were able to be seated immediately. We had excellent service. Not pictured is the passionfruit mule which was delicious! Scallops were a touch over cooked but still very good. Szechuan green breaks had a nice kick to them. Overall, good food and great service. ”
